The case for additional burial land within Llantwit Major Town Council (LMTC) area has been established for some time. The current provision is inadequate and there is a risk that burial and memorial space will run out. Background Paper 38 (Cemeteries and Crematoria) November 2025 establishes the case for additional land and LMTC strongly takes the view that additional land is urgently required. LMTC is therefore very supportive of placing this site within the Replacement LDP and wishes its views to be taken into account. The land identified is easily accessible and would be ideal for this purpose.
